2022 Greater Pittsburgh Scholastic Chess Championship

On May 28, I ran (along with my friend Jules Coulson) a scholastic chess tournament at St. John’s Lutheran Church in McCandless.

Competitors in the Championship section during round 3 of the 2022 Greater Pittsburgh Scholastic Chess Championship.

The tournament was a great success! We had:

  • 45 total players in 3 main sections

  • 15 players total competed in their 1st ever USCF rated event

  • 10 of 17 players in the K-4 section competed in their 1st ever USCF rated event!

I plan to continue running USCF tournaments every month or two. My next tournament will be in January 2023 (full details to be announced soon!).
